The area of Coteaux du Giennois streaches from Neuvy sur Loire just above Sancerre, east to Cosne sur Loire and up north as far as Gein, which is just north of Briare.
The wines at Coteaux du Giennois, or sometimes known as Cotes de Gien, are either red wines from the grapes of the pinot noir or gamay, or white wines from the Sauvignon blanc grapes.
